Title: Traction Control

Hi I have recently brought a Golf GTI 1.8T,, you may see from all my post i dont know to much about them

Anyway the car was sold to me with traction control, but everytime i drive off it weelspins like crazy i assume i havent got traction control. Am i right. If so is this not stupis not having it on a car like this???

My last car was a 1.8T and as standard they have a very basic form of traction control.
I think its only designed to work at very low speeds so a god bit of welly in first usually
results in wheel spin. If however you have an esp button in the centre consol you have the full monty
which should eliminate wheel spin. If faulty an orange warning light will be displayed on the dash. :smiley:

but no button for it  :sad:

well not next to the hazrd switch at least

is there anywhere else this mite be?

If you have full ESP you should have a switch as it is switchable.
My switch is next to the hazzard light button. Can't think why they
would put it somewhere different on the same make of car  :laugh:
