Hey all! As some of you may know, I'm doing a full gti conversion on my missus car this weekend.
Been on it since half 9 this morning and both engines are ready to come out first thing tomorrow! Pretty chuffed with myself so far! Then all I've gotta do is swap the axle and subframe then swap the ABS unit/pipes.
I do have pictures but I'm not sure how to put them on a post as of yet so if anyone wants to see them please help me lol!
Cheers, Mike

No lol its a rare grey, well ive never seen it before anyways! And cant find a paint code for it anywhere!
The non-gti is ending up with the vento front ultimately and its going to look AWESOME!!

This is the colour of the wing taken with a flash, so as you can see its a very dark grey metallic! But looks like no other vw grey ive seen lol!
-
Maybe it isn't a genuine VW colour then and has been resprayed in in it's previous ownership?
-
It sure does look like the same colour as mine.It is a rare colour as it was only on the mk3 golf for "L" and "M" registration, hence why finding a body panel in the same colour is a bloody nightmare(trust me)lol
Heres a pic of the car the day i got it,it shows the grey in it a bit.

yes i think that colour is lc9z black pearl magic i think its called.they used this colour like ours on very early mk3's for 2years and also passat's.some late mk2's got it too.it's quite a rare colour as ive been looking for same coloured body parts for a year lol.the only other one i have seen was enterede into the calender comp by snifferdog as a joke and i later found out he had scrapped it lol. Oh well its a good excuse to get a full respray :)
