Hey guys what tyre pressure are you running on the 18 inch wheels ?
Ta FLC
225/40/18............ at the moment 225/47/17 at 33Psi
-
For reference on my A3 170 I'm running 38psi / 36 psi front / rear
Your official figures should be on the inside of the fuel filler cap no? :undecided:
-
Would that be for any tyre/wheel fitted as I'm now running 18inch wheels ?
-
Keep the same pressures as your previous wheels Paul. The manufacturer bases the tyre pressures on axle weights and type of suspension fitted, so the air pressure stays the same no matter what wheels you fit (within reason).
-
Tyre pressures are set for tyre groupings. So unless you have some un-naturally large tyres on (and we are talking 4x4 sizes here) then the standard pressures are good enough. ( I would hazard a guess of 29-33psi )
-
Tyre pressure should be up around 38psi. I'm running 40psi in my tyres (235/35R19). I believe the XL 'extra load' tyres fitted are designed to run at these higher pressures.

Cheers, the 33 is where they were at from the fuel filler flap (sounds rude). Photos on way... not good quality as there is no light in Scotland till May lol

Hi; my GT140 (sorry, not quite a GTD but must weigh near as dammit the same) is on the 18" Vancouvers and the filler flap bar fig equates to 33psi.
