Winter pack includes; heated front seats, headlight washers, heated windscreen washers and low washer fluid warning light.
Lux pack is electrically folding door mirrors with auto dipping n/s mirror for kerb view when reversing into a parking space [Very very useful]

Don't they all have the heated mirror picture on the mirror switch?

They don't all have the fold picture though

No offence Tox, but did you not research the car you bought and the available options...? I only ask as if you aren't aware what you have paid for, the seller may have ripped you off....Although, I hope this didn't happen !
Any other questions, please ask, as the regulars here are absolute diamond geezers !
Personally, Im not as knowledgable as them, they are brainiacs !

Ooh ooh! Me too!

^^
Rag top????
-
Then again....don't think i'll bother, people will see me!
-
I know it doesn't exist.
But I now want the summer pack for my GTI.
If it did exist what would we want?
I'd vote for super cooled seats.
(Rag top not an option)

The tilting mirror seems to be standard now (oct 2010). Power up the mirror and select reverse. Took me by surprise the first time! - very very useful with those expensive wheels!

I knew a guy a few years ago who bought a car over the phone without even seeing it or knowing what kit it had.
Some fast Renault. He was happy enough with it.

My dealer did this for me, gave me £1000 more than the dealer i bought the car from, crazy!

It's a bit confusing!
I have heated seats which are standard with leather I believe but doesn't mean I have winter pack. I do not have headlight washers.
I have dipping n/s mirror in reverse which I think is standard with rear camera but doesn't mean I have lux pack. My mirrors do not fold electrically.
-
Pm me your registration number and I can spec check the car from factory and tell you exactly what you have above standard.

Dipping N/S mirror is standard with rear Camera? Is it? I have camera but I dont think I have dipping N/S Mirror! Or do I?
Advice would be great.

VW do have a habbit of every 6 months or so slightly tweeking the specs and pack details it caused lots of confusion with the mk5 lot from 2005-09

I had to set up the kerb mirror, not realising I had it until I read something on here about it! I'm sure I dont have electric folding mirrors and pretty sure I read somewhere that with the camera you get the kerb mirror - may be wrong though....
There are instructions in the manual how to set the desired angle then all you do is set the mirror adjuster knob to the n/s, select reverse and it adjusts to the pre-set angle.
Incidentally, does anyone feel like you are turning the mirror knob futher than it should go when turning on heated mirrors, just doesn't feel right, but as long as they clear the mirror I suppose. The pointer doesn't line up with the heater picture.
