You'll regret it mate! Everyone knows the 8v is the one to have!
-
How come you dont get a 16v engine in ya 8v?
-
You won't regret going 16v!
-
If you 8v has been a good car you would be better to convert it, at least you know what you have got.

Wayne has blatantly had his account hacked. He is anti converting a car you can buy

I would do the same if I sold my 16v and I wanted another, 8v are a good £500 cheaper sometimes, sometimes even more! Get a 2.0l 16v uprate the brakes, few other bits probs lol Buy on body not the cheap engine!
-
8v all the way!!
with a supercharger
-
16v FTW!!!
-
VR6 FTW!!

had both and have my 8v now. My 8v is a high spec gti so much better than my 16v. MPG seem to be the same but only drove around town in the 8v. I'm much happier with my 8v.
-
Looks like we have a "which is better" thread :) I currently have both an 8v and a 16v. Both I love but for different reasons. My 8v feels torquier low down as we all know but in real life, it cant lose my 16v from the lights. 16v feels freer but without the low down urgency of the 8v. Its good to own both at one time or another to assess which suits you best.. personally, I cant decide lol

Going from 8v to 16v in a MK3 is like having to wear only one orthopaedic shoe.
-
you only notice a big difference in the two when you drive like a complete thingy! so if your not a fast driver stick with 8v and if you drive like a prick have a 16v

I maybe wouldn't of worded it like that....but it's close to what I believe (I rarely took my 8v over 5000rpm and it was quick enough for how i drive.....)
-
The 16v really packs a punch past 4000rpm, I like that.
-
what shady's saying is if you've got a small man hood then the 16v rocks and is the one for you
-
I wont let my 16V go ever! With me for life!
