Title: How to remove aerial?? :s

Just been bought a new aerial for my car and i cant take the other one out.

Its a golf mk3 97.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I take it the aerial is mounted on the roof. If so then open the boot and there is a plastic trim piece that runs across the rear of the roof headlining. Pull this off and then loosen the pillar trim both sides. The headlining will then drop slightly which will allow you to get to the bolt that holds the aerial to the roof.

if its in the wing you have to take the arch liner out. there should be a nut on top which you losen, then undo bolts holdign it to the bracket under wing, then drag it out. before you pull aerial cable from inside car tho, firmly tape a chunky bit of wire or string to the airial plug, then pull it thru. take string off old plug and firmly tape to new plug, then use string to pull it back thru :)
