I doubt a 1.3 mount is any stronger, but I think the 16v one is defiently. the front mount for the 16v is chunkier I know that for sure as I used one when my 8v one went.

yeah me 2, im changing my 8v one for a 16v one, the thread has gone so my starter motor kinda broke a bit... well snapped in half actually!!!!!  not good cost me best part of hundred quid  go for a 16v one (half inch one off a scrappy, damn cheaper than buyin 1!)

go for an early 16v solid rubber gearbox mount. 90 spec 16v's had a hydro gearbox mount and its a waste of time

though a late 16v rear hydro engine mount is better than the rubber mount

The 16v solid rubber gearbox mount is exactly the same as the 1.3 rubber mount btw :)
