Please help. Know one seems to know why my mk3 GTI wont start.

Story so far............been running fine, parked up, got in the next day.......Nothing doing. Starter motor doing its job, Fuel getting to engine, Sparks sparking. What could possibly be wrong? AA man thought timing belt could have slipped when I turned off engine. Had a look, hmm yes, timing belt marks were out. have fixed that but still nothing from my engine.......please any suggestions? PS, Am aware if timing belt slipped then may have messed up valves, but surely would have heard that? all this is guessing, Anyone know what it could be?

Mk3 section is down a bit, best to post up in there mate  :wink:
