Title: handbrake lever removal?

Anyone know how to remove a handbrake lever handle on my mk3 ?
trying to change the gator as it is a cracking bit,but looking at it,I have to remove the handle first.......

there is a little clip underneath down the bottom where the base of the handle meeds the gaitor. have to pull the gaitor down a bit then release clip, then handle slides off
