Does anybodys 3 round knobs that control heaters ETC in MK3 Golf look dull at night or has mine got blown bulbs ? and if they are how do you get at them ?

To check them simply pull the dials off, if you need to change the bulbs use a pair of long straight tweezers.

A fuse maybe? or the switch is probably broken.

Mate,

Mine are brightish at night although the nearside one of the three is slightly duller than the others which gives the appearance of a blown lamp. ::)

The older the bulb the dimmer it will light up, Thats why you always get 2 bulbs in a packet when you buy brake light bulbs, you should replace both so that they light up with the same intensity.

Also I think only the main safety switches have a backlight, I.e hazards and fogs.

You got me wondering about my heated rear window switch, does it light up?
