well i am of to look at a golf gti 20l 115bhp is there any think i should be looking for as i dont want to but a peace of rubish i have always liked the shape of the mk4 golf so any replys please post quick

dont get a gti 2.0ltr, i had one w reg, sold it and got a 1.8t mk4! much better!
-
There is nothing wrong with the 2.0 GTi but that's more for someone with insurance problems or isn't fussed about speed. The 1.8T is the one to look out for, anything less and you will be disappointed!
-
As said, the 2.0 is a good engine as long as you arent looking for gti performance. Should happily deal with everyday driving though. Just look out for the usual mk4 issues, best to look in the mk4 section to find out what they are!

Don't bother unless insurance is a big issue, 1.8 or 1.8t is a much better bet.

Excuses for the presence of the badges and the missing power that should be present in a car of that weight bearing the badge.....

Not the fact it drinks fuel and oil
In the continent it wasn't even classed as a GTI

Well I know a girl who acquired one recently (2.0) and she loves it. I should probably tell her that shes wrong and send her over to the site. She was under the impression that it was perfect for her needs whilst also being good build quality.
Although, my sudden defence of the 2.0 mk4 is due to the fact that I might be getting one soon too.

I have a gti 2L yes it's not that fast and yes I wish I got myself a 1.8t but I love the car and I can't bring myself to sell it because of this. mines the same year with ten thousand more miles it runs and drives sweet as a nut mine don't use that much oil I only have it serviced once a year and as for using petrol I get 320 miles out of a tank same as my bro in law and he's got a 1.8t

See if you can find the missing 35 BHP.
Perhaps it fell under the seat.
