 golf mk4 1.8 gti   20v can any1 help doesnt seem to have a lot of power at takes a while to reach 60 mph  idles slightly shakey  and use s loads of fuel im getting about 25 miles for a tenner   thats normal driveing  i kinow there is a slight blow on exhaust  could that be something to do with it    please help  :cry:

is it turbo or not?
 Could possibly be the MAF on its way out

non turbo    ive had it scanned   witch  said something like blocked air filter  but its not blocked

 have you put a new air filter in? there only about a fiver.

yes buddy its got a new 1  in side airbox was nice &clean  i unplugged maf while car was running and i idled worse  ????

i cant remember what it was  but do remember it said  something like air filter blocked   the whole car was scanned  this was only 1  thx

Well worth it as most garages will charge you more than that just to scan it once
