Title: best coilovers for a golf vr6
Post by: IAN C on 16 January 2011, 15:57: need some help best coilovers to get for a mk3 vr6. got £200 budget. but aint got a clue which are good and which are s**t.

Post by: dom on 16 January 2011, 15:59: Tbh, with suspension you get what you pay for. £200 will only get you budget coilovers which are very hit and miss, your much better off getting a decent spring/shock setup or spending more money :smiley:

Ok, well i'm running Hottuning coilovers, they cost me about £140 new. For what I paid i'm impressed, but the ride is pretty harsh at times, and they creaked a lot when new, took no end of grease/waxoyl to stop them. Other than that ok for the money.

Have a butchers around for some second hand coilies, you might be able to find some decent brands for fair prices!
