Title: Petrol Bio-ethanol Percentage
Post by: Stirring Moose on 16 January 2011, 11:44
Just dropping in from the Mk.3 section and sadly not on particularly cheery business. Been reading about the proposals for the increase in the percentage of bio-ethanol in petrol as of 2013. This may not do older cars much good. Have just started a thread on this over in 'Dub-Tug land, here's the link;

at the moment its between 5-7% and this amount is causing big problems with bike tanks and ducati in the states are being sued due to its tanks warping and leaking.

Think it'll be more of an issue when you're running E80 or something. Keeping fuel system serviced should avoid any nasty fuel leaks.
