I tried fitting my borbet a's today and they where fouling on the brake pads so I put the 5 mm spacers on that I got with the wheels and it was still catching and the guy at the garage said the inside of the wheel on the hub needs mating to make them clear the pads surely you guys with borbets A's on haven't done this, how have u guys fitted yours cheers.
-
What offset are they ?

5x100 et20

Should fit straight on, you might be better to see where it is catching the caliper and maybe cleaning it up with a grinder.
-
Its not catching on the caliper it's just catching on the brake pad and there half worn so if I get new brake pads it will be even worse
-
I had this they were catchin on the carrier bit, they were et48 and even with 10mm spacers were no good, was just the fronts though rears were fine. They wernt borbets but just thought id have an input mate

Yh cheers for your input mate what did you do to solve the problem? Cuz I don't really wana go throughout the hassle if getting them machined but the company I got them off said they will fit so surly I won't have to machine them cheers again mate

So the rim is catching the edge of the brake pad as it turns ?
-
I had to do what the garage guy suggested to get my alloys on, although I didnt grind the alloy I grinded about 2-3 mil off the calipers :P
Bit confused on how it can hit the brake pad and not the caliper though, surely the caliper sticks out further than the pads?
-
I could have got them on with spacers but it works out dear for hubcentric ones then longer bolts, so i put them on ebay :-(

Yh the outside edge of where the bolts go through on the inside of the wheel is just catching on the brake pad and that's with half pads

I would guess your going to need 10mm spacers but that will leave you with a offset of 10 with means you could get arch clearance problems.

Just swap me for my bbs rk's :-)
-
Yh I will give 10 mm a go but I'll need to get longer bolts and should I go for a set of hubcentric spacers or just use universal
-
Id go 4 hubcentrics but it works out dear with spacers and bolts
