Title: Bark in my heater fan :(
Post by: bmouthboyo on 15 January 2011, 18:56
Hi,

I was doing some work today and had teh plastic covering off under the wipers so I could get access to the clutch cable hole.

I checked the polen filter and as I pulled it up some crap must have fallen in as when I now use my blowers I can hear it getting smashed about by the fan under the dash on the passenger side. Very noisy.

Is there an easy way to get access to clean it out? I tried full pelt fan to blow it out but not happening.

Thanks

The only way really is to remove the pollen filter and clean it out.

But wont it be further down now and not accessible from the pollen filter area?

Is the fan easily removed? I did the fan in a T25 camper and it was a nightmare (dash out job) :(

Doubt it has gone further down, I believe if you drop the pass. side dish undertray you will see the motor, undo the bolts and it should drop down.

Ah ok thanks.

Due to the noise it must have gone into the fan though no? If so how will going in from the pollen filter get to it?

Sorry I didn't really look into the vent when I checked it.

Thanks

Just drop the motor and clean it out, chek the pollen filter area 1st however in case it is stuck.
