Anyone know where I can get a seal for the base of the roof mounted aerial? Inside of the car is getting steamed up so I'm looking for a leak somewhere and am thinking it could be the aeriel. cheers :)

Breakers, GSF?
-
Doubt it is the aerial, check the rear lamps and the sunroof drains if you have one fitted.

I cut a new seal from black rubber sheet and finished the job with a carefully applied smear of sealant. Ultimately it's a bodge but it does the job and you'd have to be a bit keen to spot it even if I do say so myself! :smug: Might also be able to something similar with an o-ring or some other type of seal.

I used part of a old inner tube for mine, worked all ok.

I doubt a water leak would allow the windows 2 steam up.... I would say your heater core is leaking ???
-
If your sure it's the seal (which do commonly fail and do cause condensation!) then find a big hella dealer as you can buy all the aerial bit's separate (or maybe try ebay?)
-
I haven't got a seal  it doesn't seem to be leaking so not a big problem, however I do want to replace it.
How do I get it off to replace the seal? thank you

Sorry but that is bullsh!t. Condensation on windows is caused by water in the car, a leaking rear light seal would certainly allow enough water into the car to cause condensation. There is absolutely nothing to suggest that the heater matrix is leaking
-
To get off you have to release the headlining at the rear. Then its just one nut.

+1 on that. Doesn't take much of a leak for things to start getting very foggy

sealed mine with a o ring  took the square one off and replaced it with a fatter o ring should do the job since it didn't leak in the first place lol
-
had a look on ebay and couldnt find any, but i'll try some of the other stuff suggested :) cheers!
Lights are getting replaced soon anyway but just wanted to get this done and see as there is no condensation in the light units it only happens inside the car, and I would of thought if it was coming from the lights there would be some kind of evidence of water on or inside the light units?
and lol at water not causing condensation

Any water / moisture in the car will lead to windows steaming up

Just an update, got a new seal for the aerial and now the inside no longer steams up, so looking like that was the culprit :)
for anyone else needing one this is the one I used, quick 5 minuite job just 1 bolt under the lining accessable from the boot

5 quid for a bit of rubber! christ I'm getting tight! you could just get a tap seal ring for like a quid, that would work fine as well
