Just sprayed the inside of headlights and they look brilliant! However, I left one of em in the oven too long and melted the plastic casing, and all the retaining clips. Ooops! Well after a shot with the heat gun I managed to bend them back enough to fit. Thought I better test them for this reason, and low and behold, it keeps popping fuses :( Had enough now though, gotta finish off spraying the grille so I will look at it later cos I can't be bothered!

Uh!
You sprayed inside. The reflective bit?

I heard that bit's quite handy :lipsrsealed:

I assume he has a mk3, in which case you can spray parts of the inside that's not reflective. It's called the Joey mod, most of us have done it

Yeah it's a mk3 and yeah it's a Joey mod. It's not the reflective cones but the outside lips of them. Bit pikey but I think it looks good!

Should be posted in the MK3 section then.

i love the way you mk3 bwoys call it the joey mod. who the f' is joey?

No idea who Joey is, possibly the first person to post here how to do it I suppose. Thought it was better of on here though as the mk3 section is more question based, where as this is general vw chit chat and I thought my idiocy was best shared with all!

Some guy who did it first and posted on vwvortex about it. I think he was American. Not sure if he first did it on a mk3 or some other car.
