Parked my car at my parents for a couple of weeks and came back to find the front chin spoiler stolen. Rang VW, £80 for the two halves. Can any recommend anywhere else I could buy them.
The thieves also had a go at removing the indicators and fog lights. They removed the piece between the two, but were unable to remove the indicator or fog lights. Fortunately they were not damaged.
I have a MkIII Anniversary, is this piece between the fog light and indicator the same as the rest of the GTi's?
Also, not sure if it is coincidental, but the outside temperature reading on the MFA does not has stopped working. Could the thieves have damaged something when the chin spoiler was stolen?
Thanks

You can get a decent chin spoiler from Eurowagens for about £20. With yours being an annie you'll need smoked blanks which you can again get from Eurowagens fairly cheaply.
As for the MFA i'd be amazed if it was related tbh, the sensor for that is towards to top of the engine bay IIRC.

Thieving little toerags :(
Must have known bugger all about the lights if they couldn't even unscrew the indicator...
Sorry to hear of your loss!
But Dom's suggestion for the blanks is your best bet :afro:
As for the splitter, hunt around on the forums!
If you need the shallow one i have a couple(Genuine), £15 posted if you want :)

Outside temperature sensor is in the o/s lower bumper grille so they could have damaged it or pulled the connector off

Thanks for your help. Will have a look at the bumper at the weekend.
Tried ebay, but no luck yet. Will try a add in the wanted section of the classifieds.

This is what my car thinks of Eurowagen splitters:

Square bumps. Genuine would have been fine.
What I did was get some Zinc coated screws and put them round the top middle. Didn't want to but it works.
