im viewing 2 cars 2morrow but i really dont know what to to . there both identical in they 3dr black mk4 golfs but theres a differnce in price. one is a v reg 115 on clock full service history tax and tested but it the 115 bhp model for 1400. but the other is a mk4 golf 1.8 turbo with full vw service history with 130 on the clock. but no tax on it and a few scratchs on the body. it been sat there ages so brake night be ceased on with a flat battery aswell but they wont go less then 2000. what to do it is a turbo
-
find a better one, do you really want a non turbo? i picked up my v plate 3 door black turbo for £1500 with full mot, full vw history, 121000 miles, leather recaro heated seats, votex kit, climate control and sunroof! i had a 115 bhp and its never a gti, so much better the turbo, better on fuel etc etc, shop around mate, theres plenty out there

you can get a taxxed car 1.8t for less than 2k no ?
-
ive seen em go for 1200 now!!
-
Wait if you can....mines a 1.8 non turbo 99 plate and last year cost me 1400 taxed and mot with 98k on the clock. Don't get me wrong I love my golf to bits but turbo is really the way to go as I've found out
-
i love my 1.8t but i would get a gt tdi 150 power and fuel economy best of both especially with the ever rising costs of petrol
-
I would wait / keep looking.
Please don't buy the 2.0

+1 i was going to get the 2.0 and really glad i didnt, 1.8t.. more power and better MPG? No brainer..

+1 since we are discussing it however finding a nice gt tdi 150 for less than two grand isn't going to happen so the 1.8t is the way to go, or 1.8 non turbo over the 2.0.
Opel have you checked the classified section on this site?

my bro has just bought a black 3 dr turbo for 1700....91k with stage 1 revo and miltek cat back already on there !!
youll be getting ripped off if u buy that for 2 k ....wait is my vote
-
Not long pickd up a 1.8t for £1500 with tax and mot. Body did have a few scratchs and brakes slightly siezed from sitting about but after 100miles or so of driving and they freed up easy.
-
yes mate looked in for sale section some nice ones in but bit far away as i cant get away from working most days a week so dont get a lot of time to travel very far. im gong to view that turbo and see if i ca get the price down more
-
well didnt go well 2day the turbo done 140 cant tell me when it tested to. been sat on his drive for 2 months. rear boot lock knackered he had to jump it off as it didnt start and body work not brill with a few scracthes. so i asked him out of intrest and he said no he sticking with 2000 and he thinks he can get that  2months shud have told him something. the search goes on but the 115 bhp is still calling as he offered a better price then before so i dont know whether to buy as a stop ga and save more for a decent turbo
-
I wouldnt bother, means you got hassle of selling on later.
Hold out and buy what you want first time :afro:
-
Buy the 1.8 ...........................................and i can haz the wheelies !!
-
If your getting desperate and cant find a 1.8t, then get a 1.8 non turbo over the 2.0 really mate.
