just don't leave them on when it gets wet and also make sure they are nice and secure, they can flap about and scratch the paint if not

they can but people leave them on, then the sun bakes the bra. This can make the paint go cloudy (and is the main complaint with them)

There's a few problems with bras first is if it's not tight when u drive it moves about and flaps and will scratch the paint. The next problem is when it rains water runs down the bonnet and into the bra on the inside of my bonnet bra is fluffy and it holds water no holes for water to escape ect and in this weather its cold and the water froze in mine so it was stuck to my car lol ... My advice it get one for long journeys take it off when it's really cold and if it's raining I only use mine when I go on motorways now really I think they look really good but not worth ruining your bonnet for.

The owner of my previous car had a bonnet bra anfd it left an inch deep mark the full width of the bonnet that wouldn't polish out. So save the stone chips, that would have been about 50 quid to repair at a chips place, but instead to fix the mark would need a full bonnet respray at a couple of hundred quid.
I did get a second hand one to put on as the damage had been done, only lasted a couple of weeks as its a a pain keep taking it off every time the sky turns grey. Plus my house is bordered by a load of pine trees so it make and excellent collector of pine needles .
Wouldn't bother again its cheaper to buy a second hand bonnet and use that for daily and stick the mint one on when you need it.

not all bad. if you know what your doing with them you can still have a bonet that isnt going to get wrecked.

every so oftern take it off wash the inside and wipe down the bonnet tostop the bonnet geting damaged when it sweats, make sure its dry, dont go cheep instead get one that fits properly, when it rains afterwards wipe the bonet down and make dry the bra as much as you can, make sure the bonnet is spotless before you put it on so no dirt is trapped underneeth ect. i know people who have ran them for a while and there bonnet is fine.
