I was going to fit my gti brakes today but the bottom caliper bolt I need to undo to swing the caliper up is rounded off good and proper. Tried hammering in an allen key bit and a torx bit but its not having it. I don't have a welder to welding on another bolt is out of the question. Any ideas?

Could try these, but arnt the caliper bolts 17mm, if so they prob do other sizes for sale. Mines opposite to yours and won't screw in, thats confusing!

mine have a round head and are torx bits inside. I'm gonna try ramming a socket on it or maul grips. But in my experience they can be real tight

Warm it up and try and chisel it round?I might have a spare one here if you fluck it up proper.

Buy some extruders?
-
Are they hardened steel, maybe you could get some small stilsons on it, will probs be too hard for the teeth to bite though
-
Irwin extractors will move anything.

Or more likely shear off.
Get some heat on it is probably your best bet...
Or go find a set of 280mm brakes, complete with the hubs and complete a worthwhile upgrade.
-
Already bought vented 239mm discs and brembo pads now
I've got some small stilsons, not sure if theres enough room in there to get a grip on though. I'l have to remove the rubber bit that surrounds it 1st...

+1
LOADS OF HEAT AS DH SAID!! but the extractors might take the bolt out

i have a set of extractors but they get littel use. allways found by the time ive given up with my normal methods they have been ineffective as well but i can see them being usefull if you don't have as meany tools or tricks to use.
but at the end of the day heat is most effective, a Mapp gas torch will ofen do but can take a while, but the oxy spanner is king just not an ption for most

At least he will get the caliper off

yea heating it up isn't really an option. I'l try the old stillies on it.
