the red connecter taken my dash off and dont know where it goes everything has been plugged can any one help?

does it not plug into the abs/airbg light just to the right?

+1 i cannot see any wires on the right hand side.. possibly it was disconected to hide a fault?

No that aint the one the abs one is already pluged in that one doesnt even fit if i tryed

That definately looks like the abs plug to me, mine's a very snug fit and takes a bit of wiggling and pushing to plug it in.

Yeah 100% its not even the same size but ive already plugged that one in but im not tobothered to be honest i just went n looked n 2 other mk3 n they aint connected ethier everything works so maybe it was for the convertible n vw used the same wiring loom thank you anyway

did any of the mk3 Golf range have headlight washers fitted?

I had a quick browse and couldnt find anything but maybe if you ever take ur headlight switch out u will see it its connected to the same wires see if you can work it out

Im only having a guess but could it be a plug for headlight adjusters so would only plug in if that option were taken. If not fitted then would just be a spare plug. Same as at the headlights.

Just a thought.
