I don't know, it's not that bad

it's a 78 series one in VGC
has 30k odd miles on the shell
50k miles on the engine

You'd spend close to that just for the motor and conversion easily.

Have to say that's not too bad.

If it started life as a 3 door GTi then i would be very tempted myself!

To be honest I think the fact it didn't start its life as a GTI appeals more to me as too many GTI's are loosing their original engine.

Cannot be many small engine ones left these days to be honest.

Yeah but who wants one of those!

Actually I used to love my first MK1 which was only a 1.3 GTI look-a-like.... still went pretty well..... well i thought so anyway but then I was only 18.

LIKE.

I'm with you shaun, I prefer the other models now to the GTi's because the GTi's are over done nowadays whereas the smaller engined counterparts don't get as much show time!
Would be awesome to rip past a Bims in that little motor

He says 6k on the advert but it's £5,250 at the top of the ad. Well worth it for me too. I actually like the fact it's 5 door too. That's certainly gonna surprise a few people.
