hi i got a water leak in my boot when it rains boot gets soakd. Any1 have any idears what it could be cheers

Check the rubber seals around your back lights mate,they sometimes leak and seep into the boot.
Although im guessing you have a Mk3 Golf as you didnt say :evil:

I had the same problem,turned out one of the screws was loose on the rear cluster.

It was not in the mk3 section earlier.
Check around your lamps as a 1st step, well worth fitting new gaskets as they are very cheap.

if it has a roof aerial also check the rubber seal at the base

Failing all that, check the sunroof drainage holse :smiley:

you could lock someone in the boot to check (use a spray hose and let them see if any drips occur).... this also good for getting rid of bodies :lipsrsealed:

or you can do what i did when i got my clear rear lights that always let water in.
i put a silicone beed on both side of the gasket then fitted it to car wile silicone was wet.
has never leaked since :laugh:

Silicone will only do so much, some of the cheaper lamps let in water through the casings.
@ Dom, I don't think you can get the seal on its own, when I asked I was told it was only available with the base.

I do know hella sell aerial spares inc seals (or sold them a couple of years back!). find a hella dealer and ask if you want the real thing
