Post by: Adamdubz on 11 January 2011, 21:08
Sounds like its coming from in front of me when driving got oil and everything in the car a mechanic said it could be the hydraulics on top of the cam but I don’t know to much about engines so could use some help

Could be a number of things but if a mech has had a look at it and thinks its the tappets.... then it probbaly is. For a start you could go out and buy yourself some hydraulic tappet cleaner that you add to the oil. Not amaizingly effective but can sort out small blocks. Other than that its cams off and tappets out my friend
