I have a 1.6 driver and dont know if i can fit an induction kit or bolt filter please help, plus what is the best sort of exhaust i can fit cause i was thinking of an upswept oval but you lot think any different i will seriously think about your decisions thanks alot me

you can get a bolt on kit for drivers. from both PiperX and K&N. as for an exhaust. its your car so you know what you like best. if it was me id be going for a letterbox style, but not upswept

The bolt on filters do nothing apart from make the engine sound louder, in fact you'll probably end up loose performance as all it will do is suck warm air in from the engine.
Exhaust wise, you can either fit a full GTI system from the manifold back, or get a downpipe from a 1.8 driver which fits the 1.6 manifold but is thicker so you can fit a GTI system from the centre box back.

thanx guys so i best stay with a standard filter then ? dont k & n do a replacement filter ? :undecided:
-
They do a pannel filter which should perform better than a normal one, it wont perform much better though.
Basically its up to you if you would prefer one you can clean and reuse, or to buy a new one every service :)
