and got 25mm spacers at back
-
Yeah they'll fit, but you might need a cheater to get them to seat.
Check tyrestretch.com or pictures of other guys set-ups.
-
It'l look gash and handle badly.
-
That will be quite some stretch, you will most likely need to be checking your air pressure every 2 weeks as it is quite common for really stretched tyres to loose air.

Tosh!
I've been running 195/45's on a 9 for 2yrs and not once has the pressure dropped.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and we all know stretched tyres handle badly, but not all of us are boy racers who thrashed the living crap out of our cars on p1ss-poor British roads.

I'm guessing you've got a Mk3 from your username?
Your running 17's with ET20 and 25mm spacers? So ET of -5? Surely that's not possible without serious arch work :undecided:

He's running 15's

Can't drive anywhere fast nowadays! Roads are so terrible down here!
Also, car doesn't feel as good to drive on stretched tyres, kinda like the car needs to be aligned at times. Its awful when the alignment is out, pretty scary tbh! Oh and it just gets worse as you get lower.
-
Luckily for me I get to drive like a loon on a dis-used Harrier runway.
Even that can get a bit bumpy though.

Dunno where the hell I got 17's from
I'll get my coat.....
-
Lol So you think i done a wrong thing geting them
-

No, think you done a wrong thing spelling wrong like that though!!
If you want the car to be a track car, fit 205/50's, but if you are a cosmetic kind of guy, go for the 165's, after all it's your car and you can do what the hell you like. If it fits, it fits. Simples.
-
ET 20 and a 25mm spacer? Even if it's just ET 20 without a spacer you shouldn't need to stretch THAT much. 165/50 on a 7" wheel will look ridiculous, way too much stretch.
-
This is the kind of stretch you'll be looking at:

Looks like a refurb needs to be done on those wheels, i know a good wheel refurber  :lipsrsealed:

I like the look of the stretch, it wont be dangerous as long as you dont want to go round corners at super speed, people going for the stretch look usally are doing it to make the car look euro/cool for cruising  I am planning on stretch for my ats cups but dont think i will be going as stretch as yours.

I should hope not kai, spesh with the power you running, then think of the power you will be running in the future id prefer the grip if i was in your shoes , still though, bit of stretch never hurt nobody!!
