Title: What Oil?

 :undecided:Im a proud owner of a Mk2 8v 1984 which is in excellent condish,im looking at servicing it this month what oil do u reckon i use.The prev owner used GTX Magnatec every 6000mls with vag filter,should i use the same or switch to synta silver or synta 15-40 muliigrade?
P.S i use synta gold in my Mk4 GTI and it drinks it(no theres not a leak)

id be inclined to use 15w40 in it. anything with a lower viscosity and it will just drink it
