does anybody no if/how to put headlamp washers on as i have got an r32 front bumper and it has the holes for the headlamp washers but my car does not have them as standard would it be a big job to fit and make them work and a rought price of how much it would cost any help would be very helpful.

shouldn't be too hard a' job if you had the motors, etc. just add a relay to turn them on as well as squirting the screen. if that's how they work, I dunno?
-
Most people simply bond the washer caps to the bumper, in a sort of "ive got headlight washers/xenons" look-a-likey stylee.
-
I have them on mine and they only work with the headlights on so there must be
a link between headlights being on and the washer pump being told to operate.
-
On most cars they only work when the lights are on - so the supply is energised via a relay connected to the headlight circuit.
You also need to think about where the water will come from - on some cars they use the same water supply as the windscreen washers - on other cars I have owned, they used a seperate tank.
I would imagine that its quicte and easy job, if you have the wiring diagram (if needed) and all the necessary bits.
Best bet is to speak to a breaker who has an R32 (or another model with H/lamp washers in). Probably get a reasonable deal on the whole lot, and if you can go and remove the biots from the car, you can take notes/photos whilst you do it, so you know where to route everything onyour car. You might even get a mini-loom for the whole job, and it might turn out to be a simple plug n play job.
Good luck bud

If you don't want them, just stick the headlamp washer caps over the holes so it looks like you got them.
-
were did you get your from mate and what sort of price were they
-
As i said in the pm I sent you mate, I already had them as standared
-
found headlamp washer caps www.vagpart.com ?5.92each and i got the jets as well ?13.96each and a set of r32 bumper grillls ?16.95 plus vat

It isn`t that hard to fit them properly. You need.- Jets/Covers/Washer bottle/Piping/Washer pump/Connectors for piping and a headlight washer relay. My mate got pipes, bottle and pump from a breakers for ?20.I have got to have a look to see if the wiring is there, which i doubt, but not problem as the relay can be fitted down by the headlight and wired so it will work as intended.

:laugh:Your best just having the caps so it looks like youve got the washers. There not much use, I had them on my last golf and they dont do much apart from throw a load of soapy water over the front of your car leaving a mess which means you have to wash it more often!!
