Ive just been quoted ?82 to replace a Cam Cover Gasket?
Does this sound expensive?

isnt that a head gasket or am i wrong but if it is its well blo8dy expensive can get the part for a tenner and do it urself

What you were quoted would probably be alright for a 16v, but for an 8v that is a rip off. Should be no more than about ?10 for gasket, and about half hour labour(maybe less). I would expect no more than ?30-?40.
