hey guys just got a few ideas runnin through my head about my car & was just wondering if anyone knew how i could do my rear light & boot lid like this?

I believe that is corrado lamps, in any case your looking at a serious amount of metal work.

It will be major work, look at the extra metal added to the tailgate.

those are MK3 lamps modded (you cut the top part off where the plastic black seam is) and the tailgate welded (similar way to a bad boy bonnet), one of my mates did this mod, he owns a bodyshop, wont be cheap like and looks wrong IMO

Don't legally need them.
There is a car somewhere near my work. He's done it, I'll ask but it's still in primer and not a GREAT job. If I see him I'll ask tho.

Ive seen this done to several mk2's over the years and if done properly i really do think it can look the nuts. But yeah like mentioned there's lots of time and effort involved.
