Title: RED brake caliper paint. Do VW sell a touchup or paint pot to match?
Post by: Snoopy on 09 January 2011, 20:52
RED brake calipers on the mk6 GTI
Do VW sell a paint to touchup the calipers or a can of paint that match the oem finish on the caliper?

I've never seen nor heard of it mentioned on any of the forums before.

Nice bit or red hammerite should do it.

Are all the front brake calipers milled out?
The last time Snoops mentioned this, I checked mine and could not see this. I'll check again tomorrow. First day I would have left the house.

No mate, it was me that pointed it out originally a couple of weeks after getting the car but never really thought about painting them.
I still don't know why it's like that as it doesn't look like it would foul anything if it wasn't milled out?
