Hi to everyone who has mk2 golf with a fan that only works on setting 3 :sad:
in the center of this picture is a yellow/black fuse, this controls the fan resistor module (pictured) that alters the speeds on 1 and 2 if it fails dont just replace the whole thing go to Maplins and buy a 184 Thermal Fuse for about £1.00 ; solder it in place of the old one and as long as the module is ok it will work :grin:
just remember to clean both sides to bare metal to get a good contact and you will have no problem
