Title: Lack of power after having a service
Post by: hermann2000 on 07 January 2011, 18:41
I had a mini service on my Golf 3 TDI today. Oil change, fuel filter change, air filter change, fluid levels checked etc. My car seems to lack power since this mini service. I've looked at every thing and all looks ok. I suspect it must be some how connected to the air filter change. Any ideas?

Perhaps the airfilter, check all fittings connected properly and tight.

Also wonder if there is air in the injectors after the filter change. Pop back and see if they bled the injectors after.

If they have replaced the fuel filter you have a chance of air in the system or in the process of replacing the air filter they have left a clip loose or a pipe is drawing in excess air.

Mine felt slower after a service because it ran smoother.
