I'm just curious what the makeup of this forum is. There seems to be quite a few people who don't drive Mk6 GTIs here.
I am currently "Other Golf".
Sorry if I left anyone out. No offence meant.
-
GTD is going to take over the Mk6 section  I might then buy a GTI
-
I would suggest you place this in vw related then to get a true representation instead of just the mk6 section.

I have never been in that section. I only read the mk5 (current car) and mk6 (next car) sections. Hence the focus of the poll on mk6 drivers.
-
I personally feel your focus is correct. Ultimately, it is your survey and your decision. Very interesting IMO.
-
You missed out "Am looking to buy a Golf" - as people join forums to read all about a car they're thinking about buying!
-
I pop in now and then...used to have a MK5 GTI and 2 MK5 R32,S.(went to the darkside AUDI. :embarassed:)...Always intrested in anything VW....and with the MK6 being the latest offering i like to brush up on my knowledge!!!....
-
Nothing to do with the fact there's dust balls collecting in the mk5 section at the moment after everyone jumped ship when they got fed up with the non cheerful members of the forum.
It's good to know you're amongst us in here Nosher, you'll keep us grounded.
-
I quiet enjoy the other mk5 forum
-
I might try to liven up the Mk5, it depends on the moderators.
I think you're doing quite well with your ED30 observations already old chap :smug:

Just in jest really, but don't tell them.

He is human after all!

I did drive a Mk4 Golf GTi but now drive an Audi A3 Sportback... Miss the Golf though as she was a tidy car. Still local though and still looking good!
-
I have a Golf Variant MK VI and a Bettle RSI.
-
Where's the MK2 option?

I recently joined having 'lurked' for a good 3/4months but was unsure whether to do so as I only have a humble TDi on order. There are very few 'general' MK6 forums out there that aren't biased towards US owners, so even though I won't be driving a GTi come April the forum will continue to be a valuable resource for me

Welcome on board, all drivers and enthusiasts of Golfs are welcome here
-
Yep, welcome along stucur, a Golf is a Golf, it's the owners enthusiasm that carries us through on here.
You don't need a GTI/R anyway by the looks of your other little toy.
Anything would seem a bit dull after that!
-
Welcome.
-
I drive a V6 TDI Passat daily and have a Mk2 in the garage. I've also got a Mk6 GT TDI on order to replace my wifes 307.
-
Thanks for the welcome  Yeah the VX can be a little extreme... Thoroughly looking forward to the Golf arriving though! I won't know what to do with all the kit on it! The VX only comes with 2 seats, a wheel and some pedals lol.
-
To answer the original question. I drive a Daihatsu.
-
I have a MK6 GTI as my daily driver and an Impreza STI PPP as a weekend toy
Previous to that I had an A5 but through the Golf/Impreza combination was a much better deal
