Your best bet would be to get standard items wrapped in carbon vinyl.

A carbon splitter would die instantly.

It's going to brake sooner or later

It's not heavy anyway, why wouldn't you be happy with CF vinyl if you're going for the look

Easy to steal, I'm sure it wouldn't last that long on the car

+1 agree might aswell get it wrapped if that's the style you're going for. It will most likely be stupidly expensive & custom made, not many places (if anywhere) will sell them online.

At the end of the day carbon fibre; real or fake, it's going to look chavvy.

You'd be hard pushed to find a carbon splitter for less than £150 and it won't last a week if you're running low.

Seems like a lot of expense and a lot of risk for something which is essentially disposable.

This was a small rock and at low speed so do you really want to fit carbon

For less (much less) than a carbon one you can buy an OEM one that WILL last an eternity whether you scrape it, hit it, bend it, twist it, etc etc.

The one and only exception to the chavvy carbon rule:

Even though... That would still look better without the carbon.

Sounds like a game of bop it extreme.

more to the point a genuine 1 has already been smashed on my car and the carbon splitter was going to go on a spare bumper for shows and the like, i was really more interested in the boot lip but obviously no1 knows about 1 chavy?? all depends on how much power you have under the bonnet in my opinion if it looks chavy or not

I'm all for a bit of each-to-their-own and the idea of doing something a bit different but really can't see carbon fibre being a good material for an air dam. As I see it you would have two options, neither of them good and both expensive. One would be a fairly light weight dam that would be fairly costly and probably shatter if it hit anything. The other would be to spend really serious money and get a proper high quality structurally strong dam made. This might survive hitting something but it still wouldn't bend and if it won't, something else will and it might not bend back so willingly.

What kind of boot lip do you have in mind? The normal Vento spoiler or an M3 style little stub lip? If it's the latter I don't think they were ever produced for the Vento, largely because the boot lid is already shaped to have a slight lip anyway.

If you managed to smash a genuine one, you're doing something wrong :D

I don't mean to come across negative at all as i'm not a negative person but i did put on the first page i think it was best off getting it wrapped as it would be faily expensive to get one custom made. Also my car is built not bought as you can read in my build thread in dub rides.

Got any pictures of your vento dude? Don't want to seem like a dick over the internet when i'm not :D

:D Tell me about it, i find that this forum is generally the most useful for information. Same about raising car for winter, i've had a 1.4 mk3 run about since my VR seized in the estate and getting stuck every 5 mins wasn't fun in the snow so had to raise it :undecided: looking forward to seeing the vento though dude.

You could always look at A4 boot lips and try and modify it slightly.

Don't know how hard that'd be.

I don't have any closer ones of the spoiler I'm afraid.
Here's a picture of a normal Vento boot lid, if you look along the lines you can see how it has a lip that flicks up slightly:

Yeah it is  Picture is from a summer show and there was some controversy about the guy on the gates not letting my car in. When it was eventually left in I was placed in a corner down the back and I was told to squeeze in over the lines and not take up much space so the 'better cars' could fit in. I wasn't the only one treated like that though and the guy on the gate got in sh!t over it afterwards.

Using that logic, you could question whether even VW truly built it. After all, they bought the steel from somewhere...
