Think your going struggle with the widths to be honest.

Someone on here has a set fitted but I believe they are narrower widths.

Post by: webz on 06 January 2011, 21:40
what modification will have to be done to get these bad boys to fit mate?
Title: Re: bmw x5 wheels
Post by: andc1 on 06 January 2011, 21:42
they do look good but a mission to fit, to fit you will need to

descent coilovers / air ride
roll front arches
i have 9j front 10j rears
225 35 19 on rears
213 35 19 on front
-2 camber shims on the rear
5x100 - 5x120 adaptors, im using 20mm rears custom 25mm fronts
to run as low as hamids and look decent you'll need uprated arb, chasis notch, smaller top mounts, raised engine mounts, shallow sump

im just waiting for mine to get back from paint shop then i'll wack some pics up

already had arb, notch done and rolled archs so not to bad for me

look good tho mate when on!!!!
Title: Re: bmw x5 wheels

 wooooooow. didnt think would be that much man ahaha!!! thanks for letting me know what need to be done tho!!!
Title: Re: bmw x5 wheels
Post by: andc1 on 06 January 2011, 21:54
thats to run low tho , but really you will need to as these will look silly otherwise, to be far tho any wheels you get you'll have to upgrade suspension etc and for any reall descent wheel adaptors/spacers will be needed,

give me a shout if you go ahead and get stuck

 ok i was just wondering.... i dont know alot about cars at all, i try to but most things just confuse me. how much would it cost for all the mods do you rekon mate as in arch rollin notching etc? and where could i get my arches rolled to :undecided: and what is notching and whats uprated arb.

sorry bout being a pain lol but just dont wna buy the wheels ive seen then bollocks everything up.

regards ash

1500 all in ?? maybe more including the wheels.. im not really sure
Title: Re: bmw x5 wheels
Post by: andc1 on 06 January 2011, 22:38
i paid

£300 coilies
£400 wheels and tyres
£ 80 for arches rolled
£180 adaptors
£100 arb
£40 notch
£20 shims

say £50 odd bits

most body shops would do your arches, notch most garages would do, arb do a search on as this is a big topic! £60 fitment of coilies i would sat if your not confident, tyres a proper stretch so you might struggle for fitment on certain places

as the good sir mentioned, most of my mods were so that i can drive as low as possible (and also to slam it when parked as close to laying frame)

but you could fit them on to the car with just the wheels, tyres and adaptors. but as these are 19" with lower profile tyres, it's essential to make it look right as the wheels look quite big against the car. so lowering is essential in this case.
thats where you'd probs need the uprated ARB, then the front arch rolled, and camber shims. If you still want to go lower, chassis  notch and even lower still, steel sump and engine spacers
you defo dont have to do everything all in one go, i did all those things over a period of nearly two years

a few more pics to keep it going, the first batch of pics, ive got
no camber shims or shorter top mounts with 225/35 and 215/35/19's. you'll see that its sits quite nice (yes im on air) ubt also when im rolling

What MM are your spacers at? 25 rear?

heres my current spec

Fronts: 19 x 9j Et 48 - H&R adaptors 30mm - Final Offset of 18 - Falken FK452 215.35.19

Rears: 19 x 10j Et 45 - Custom adaptors 16mm - Final Offset of 29 - Nankang NSII 215.35.19 - 2 degree camber shims each side

i still dont have any pics of it fitted with the 16mm adaptrs. otherwise all the pics on the previous page are with 20mm on the rear, which works fine
