Title: Rocker Cover

Hi, replaced my rocker cover on 1.6 driver mk2. Rubber gasket. it was still leaking after being replaced. I took it to a vw garage thinking i have done it wrong somehow and its still leaking from the same spot, back corner by cam belt. I believe that this maybe causing the whinning from the cambelt due to a little bit of oil leaking onto it.

Any advice.

If it's a rubber gasket you need the studs that don't have a shoulder on them. Maybe one of your studs is the wrong type?

Hi

When I changed mine I used a mk3 one which is rubber, and it came with new studs........ The cork one I originally tried was hopeless.
