Title: How low can you go.......?
Post by: Ages84 on 04 January 2011, 17:40
How low can you go on 18" rims? WITHOUT wheel arch rubbing or rubbing when turning?

its a 1.8T 180 GTI 03 if that helps.....

also read somewhere that the GTi models are 20mm lower than standard mk4 golf....

Thanks

:)

My mates got his 60mm drop on 18's with no mods, does rub ever so slightly on full lock thought but he never has to put it on full lock so alls good  or should that be he never puts himself in the situation where he has to use full lock

up too 45-50mm - Fine no issues

50 upwards - wheel spacers on the front to clear the coilovers and an uprated antiroll bar (eibach or whiteline are popular) too clear the driveshaft which begins too catch once lowered
