Thought it best to have this as a thread rather than poll.
What are your favourite mods/upgrades/changes to your mk6 ??
Mine are:-
1. bluefin - increase of perforformance of 50 -60 bhp feels soooo much more and is so easy to use. Brilliant
2. RCD 510 (from RCD310) - the RCD 510 just looks and fits so much better than the 310, functionality is much better too
3. Winter tyres - means I can still drive my pride and joy in the winter as long as there is no-one blocking the road in front of me.
-
Nothing done to mine still bog standard

To be brutally honest I reckon about the best mod on my car is a Sprint Booster http://www.sprint-booster.co.uk/ (http://www.sprint-booster.co.uk/), I just find the car unresponsive without it, even remapped, too much pedal travel before the car does anything.
Next comes the re-map, closely followed by the LED tail lights, which make the rear of the car less Toyota like, and RNS.
I don't think I'm going to change much else on the car, the retro-fit Xenon headlamps are going to work out very costly and mine being an early build is bound to have more fitting issues than I have patience to deal with; and I like the idea of lowering it an inch or so, but I've had so many bad experiences of lowered cars that I really don't think I can take the gamble with the mk6. If I could guarantee the ride would be at least as smooth and comfortable as stock I'd maybe go with it, but my daily driver car has Bilstein shocks and Eibach springs and it gets on my nerves after a short time if I drive on bumpy roads or over speed humps which is most of the time.

revo

rns510

I'll just stay with the bits after the factory so items like parking sensors, ACC etc are not considered.
Most Useful retro-fit: Bluetooth followed by sub-woofer and luggage net.
Most useless retro-fit: Cruise.
Best Eye Candy Inside: Gear Knob followed by the RNS510.
Best Eye Candy Outside: Rear LEDs.
Once Winter Tyres are fitted, I will assess them and update the above list.

Red GTI badges, map and my GTI seat inserts. They just finish off the interior perfectly I reckon

It was dirty then, as it had not been cleaned for a month! :nerd: :embarassed:
The inside is always cleaner then the outside as I unfortunately have no control on the elements.

This is WOT, but to be honest, I dust the mats every day as I don't like to get my shoes dirty.

WOT = Way Off Topic.

Going back on on topic...Those foot rests of yours, have two been added or is one standard?

I had the two footrests made by Gulfstream11. He's got all the dimensions and produces great stuff. I fixed them with Outdoor Sticky fixers, double sided foam pads, 20mm x 20mm by Sellotape which I bought from Homebase. They are pretty well fixed by this method. I far prefer this method to drilling and screwing.

Lastly, I forgot to mention my very useful £45 luggage net which has caused lots of controversy.
Steve 30, like me, loves his, as it is so multi-purpose.

When i got my car stage 1 it was fine, but after the Turbo back Milltek and Carbonio was installed it caused boost issues for a couple of seconds (hesitation) Revo was aware of this and called it surging Stage 2 sorts the problem out big time
