instead of having to remove the unit from the car to update it they should put WIFI connections on them. then you could update them from the house.

No its a good idea actually as long as the wifi connection is secure!

just saves having to remove it from the windscreen to connect it to your pc. the snooper ones have built-in modems to update them. you could make a tidy install then if you didn't have to remove it every 2 weeks.
