Title: Passat MAF sensor not working

My boss has a 97 passat TDI & his MAF sensor is faulty & has been told it's stopping his turbo from running.

Q. Can this sensor be cleaned or is it a new one as he has been quoted ?100 to replace it

The car has no power at the mo

take it off and have a look. you might find something stuck to it making it read wrong. sometimes blowing pressurised air onto it cleans off tidy dust bits that are stuck to it.

Thanx Dizzie, just been looking at you uprated looms, stupid question but will these fit a 84 A plate MK2 as even my fuel pump isn't a standard mk2 fitting lol

yeah they'll fit that. As long as you're running H4 bulbs which are standard on mk1's and mk2's then they'll fit no problem.
