Ha ha welcome mate
-
i can see the vultures " circling " above this thread already
-
Didn't realise it was your passenger side.
At least you'll be able to use the window properly instead of warning everyone not to use it
-
Yep it dropped when I was taking my sister to the M4 services at 7.15. drive home was bloody cold
-
I changed mine recently and managed to get a whole new regulator panel form thatwillis on here and it was so much easier than fiddling about with the wires. Try PurelyVag as I'm sure he has some.
-
Ill just get a repair kit from vw this week. I cant wait for anything in the post :lipsrsealed: Luckily am off work this week and dont need to use the car
-
I did my passenger side before christmas after securing it with duct tape (which the marks were a PITA to rmove from the window seal!)
Anyway now, after rolling the windows down a bit you can push the window down another half inch or so, is this normal? or should I look at the clips? and make sure they are located properly.
-
you need to tighten them up a bit more mate
-
i remember when i had to drive to the garage and had a sheet or tarpullin gaffed to the side of the car and a little box cut out so i could see out the window!! that was my present 2 yrs ago a new window regulator!

-
This happened to me last year and last week it happened to my mums polo but as last year I took it to Vw to replace i don't no how hard they are to replace Myself can anyone tell if it's worth trying myself or just getting a garage to do it? Cheers

Make sure you get Metal clips..........
-
According to a thread on ukmivs the metal clips have been superseded with nylon clips :lipsrsealed:
-
