Hi Guys,
I've had a search but got myself bamboozaled.
I'm browsing Golf GT TDi's as I'm after buying one, is there an easy way to tell what engine is in what Golf/year?
I'm looking at a 2000 GT TDi and wanted to know what engine it has?
Thanks

Most probably a 110 o 100 if it's the 2000 model IIRC as I think the 130 and 150 came out 51 onwards.
There are things to look for on a sticker in the boot and also some kw power something or another under the bonnet somewhere.
Someone with better info than me will come along soon, as this is the most I can add to this i'm agraid.

Thanks asif,
there doesn't seem to be an easy way from looking at photo's etc, although I did do an HIP check on line and the engine number is FBF13079 and started me wondering if its a 130bhp or thats just a coincidence

Thanks mate, it turned out to be an 81KW from a look at the service book - I guess there's no other way to know.

use a insurance website and the reg number but even then it sometimes give the wrong model
