Title: 17"alloys
Post by: gover87 on 02 January 2011, 15:21: Just got some 17"bbs rk's 4 £150 there mint, need spacers for front tho coz they catch the calipers. Does any1 no wot size i need?

3mm should do it.

205/40/17's tyres will be needed to keep gearing etc spot on.

Et48 is or sounds like Vauxhall fit, are they 100% 5x100 stud fitment.

Spacers will move it away from the caliper though :huh:

What brakes are you running? et48 with 10mm spacers will give you et38 which should be miles away from the calipers :undecided:

What is the centre bore of the wheels?

Did the wheels come of another Golf.

Post by: Wayne on 03 January 2011, 14:47: If they are that close to the caliper then maybe you need a 15mm spacer and longer bolts, all seems very odd.

I ran 17" with et35 all ok.

You will need longer bolts plus get hubcentric spacers.
