Title: 17"alloys

Just got some 17"bbs rk's 4 £150 there mint, need spacers for front tho coz they catch the calipers. Does any1 no wot size i need?

What offset are they.

3mm should do it.

205/40/17's tyres will be needed to keep gearing etc spot on.

They are et 48 which is abit wrong ino, and the tyres are 215/45s. Mint wheels tho and cheap i think :-)

Et48 is or sounds like Vauxhall fit, are they 100% 5x100 stud fitment.

Yeah definatly ive got rear 2 on, just need spacers for fronts

You would be better running 10mm spacers all round, leaving you with a offset of 38, tyres are the wrong size as well.

Ino but it stil touches :-¿ Cnt get mi head round it, they are et 48 but even with spaces they stil touch the caliper

What brakes are you running? et48 with 10mm spacers will give you et38 which should be miles away from the calipers  :undecided:

Just standard mk3 gti brakes. It touches the actual carrier for the caliper. Any help would be much appreciated? Ive tried 10mm bt u cant push the wheel back far enough coz it touches the caliper :-¿

What is the centre bore of the wheels?

Centre bore is ok got the rears on withowt spacers, it just the front calipers thats the prob m8. Im confused

10mm spacer would move the wheel away from the caliper, god only knows why you still having clearance issues.

Did the wheels come of another Golf.

If they are that close to the caliper then maybe you need a 15mm spacer and longer bolts, all seems very odd.

I ran 17" with et35 all ok.

Just tried a 10 and a 5mm and all ok, so 15mm it is :-)

You will need longer bolts plus get hubcentric spacers.
