what is it ??
-
was hoping you'd tell me
from the research i've carried out...
BAROMETRIC PRESSURE (BARO) SENSOR. The baro sensor measures barometric pressure so the computer can compensate for changes in altitude and/or barometric pressure that would affect the fuel mixture or timing. Some MAP sensors also perform this function.
getting a little confused with this and the map sensor tbh, as i've read they are the same thing?
-
no AGU has this cos it doesn't have a MAP sensor

think this will be okay? or am i better of getting one from dealers if there isnt a huge price difference?
-
about £90 for the dealers for a new one provided they still stock them. Only the AGU had them according to ETKA
-
ahhh yes, i think it's what i need. thanks for that. alot pricier than i thought
-
I been wondering WTF one of them was for a long while on the AGU, but even unplugged it never bought any codes up, nor did it have an effect of performance when I vag com'd last trying to work out what it was with a 12ft pole
-
agu's are terrible they never throw up codes.. doesnt mean there wasnt a problem..
-
Hmmm I got this on my vagcom results- I would love to know what part fixes it?

AUM are worse they throw codes for no apparent reason 17705.....
-
There is a reason 17705 is a boost leak just no one can find it

Rumor out there has it, that every time a AUM owner insults a superior AGU a coil pack fails on an AUM out their :lipsrsealed:

is this also called a 'Altitude Sensor'
-
Yes it is :-)
-
cool mate
-
same thing as a map sensor exept it measures the ambient air pressure rather than the inlet manifold pressure. basically there is an air bubble inside which expands when low altitude and contracts at higher altitude where there is less oxygen..
-
ok now i get ya cheers tho
