Title: 16V throttle valve switch wires

Hi guys, i noticed the throttle valve switch at the back of my throttle body is a 3-pin connector, but only had 1 qire on it. The other 2 had broken off. I've put 3 new leads into the connecting block but i dont know now which leads connect to which terminals - ive checked my haynes and it says 1 is black, 2 is white and 3 is white and yellow, but the wires i have are a black, a red, and a red/brown :S

I could really do with a picture of a clean setup or some advice, because now im starting to think ive atattched wires from something else, im losing the plot.
The car struggles to start cold and when its running its hunting all over the place (revving up and down).

Hi, sorry yes it is the Mk2 16v KR 139bhp

Hi
On my KR rado, the middle one is Black
the end ones are Blue
                        Black/yellow

hmm thats so strange, i dont even have a blue wire on mine! i thnk i need to make a new post with pictures to get peoples comparisons.

1 - white
2 - black
3 - black/yellow

afaik the plug should have the pin numbers labled, either loom side or tb side

I check the loom further down the wire and found that somebody had previously joined onto it, so i did have the white and black/yellow wires after all!
The wire that should be black, however, was brown/orange, and runs through the bulkhead, is that right?

black wire should be ignition live, sounds liek someone spliced in another wire and ran it thru a hole in the bulkhead. from the factory it comes out with the engine loom
