Title: Hey - new slow GTI owner
Post by: daveski on 30 December 2010, 20:55
Hi all, picked up a mk4 GTI 2.0 8v yesterday after owning a couple of Renaults. I know its not the most desirable motor in the Golf but should see me through 2011 with hopefully not too much expense.

One thing that is bugging me is the layout of the dashboard, is it possible to put the radio directly under the cup holder? The cubby hole thing I have won't fit under the radio so is there an accessory or something that does?

Cheers

Dave

Hello and welcome new golf owner :-)

Not sure if you can move the radio, always seemed a daft place to put it to me!

I'm sure someone from the mk4 forum will be along soon to help you on this.

Thanks for the welcome. I've just been browsing the mk4 part of the forum and haven't seen anything so far. Might have to wait till the summer and a few shows to get some inspiration :)

From looking around the site I have some plans for the car

Cruise control
Auto locking and windows
R32 intake mod
TT short shift
TT pedals
S3 ARB
Then might look at suspension and wheels.
