Hi,
I have recently bought a nice 1.8 Mk2 Golf Driver (carb model, obviously) and am interested to know if there are any cheap, quick and easy ways to access some more power out of the car.
I've just had it serviced and cam belt change, am about to lower it 40mm as it rolls too much in the corners for my liking, and now am curious as to what the best mods are for this engine.
I know the basics are to slap on an uprated air filter and fit a stainless exhuast, but i really don't want to spend that much since its only an everyday runabout and i have an MR2 for the weekends.
Any ideas? Is a weber carb 32/34 really worth the extra 200? :undecided:
Cheers guys,
Damo
